Modular Building
Our method for constructing modular cleanrooms, laboratories and controlled environments is specifically designed to provide the rigidity and stability required. It is an innovative, flexible solution for sites with limited access and site restrictions. Our aim is to provide a durable, long term solution that performs to the level expected from a traditionally constructed building.
Benefits and characteristics
- Solid feel without vibrations - Clean Modules’ pre-fabricated modular facilities differ from the mass produced modular buildings designed for markets such as offices, schools and short term facilities. Ours are constructed within a hot rolled steel frame with galvanised cross members. Composite panels for walls, roof, internal ceiling and floors and concrete particle flooring boards are used as the internal structure
- Short term and long term performance equivalent to a traditionally constructed building
- More cost-effective than traditional build
- Constructed off-site as a whole, ensuring quality and minimal trades on site
- Delivery by lorry, reducing disturbance to surrounding facilities
- Reduced construction time on site. On-site we only have to do the final hook-up of services, finish the connection between modules, commissioning and validation
- Multiple modules can be linked together
- Can be multi-storey building with internal elevator / staircases
- Easily relocate-able portable / mobile facility
- Can be positioned on any open space i.e. court yard, car park or an open plot of land. (We have completed a 410m² modular cleanroom facility for St Georges Hospital in London, that was positioned on top of another building, inside a court yard surrounded by 7 storey buildings on all sides. So the modular facilities can literally go anywhere!)
- Can be used for extending an existing facility or as a new stand-alone facility
Typical applications
- Where no suitable building currently exists
- Need for a relocate-able facility
- Sites with restricted access (e.g. enclosed courtyard, or on top of another building)
- Sites with restricted people access (e.g. secure environments)
- Where disruption to continuing operations must be minimised (e.g. hospitals, university campuses, military bases)

Your requirements don't match any of the above?
- I only want a single unit - try the modular building and/or our portable container construction solution
- I require a facility on the move - try our portable container construction solution
- I have an existing building - try our modular panel construction solution
